Position Summary: We are looking for a Federal Team Manager who, under general direction, will be responsible for developing and increasing the federal market segment from an inside and account management perspective. This successful candidate will manage, lead, and mentor a team of Inside Sales Representatives as well as partner with Federal Sales Account Executives (field representatives).

Position Responsibilities

  • Manage, lead, mentor, and train DSI’s Federal Inside Sales team; work closely with the Federal Sales Account Executives in sales account mapping and closing
  • Perform account management and inside sales duties; match Cisco and other OEM products and services to customer requirements
  • Sell Cisco and other OEM products and solutions to Federal offices and agencies
  • Provide current and new clients with product information, quote prices, and credit terms and rates
  • Provide excellent customer service to prospective and existing customers on a daily basis
  • Estimate date of delivery to customers based on knowledge of company's availability and delivery schedules
  • Manage multiple purchase orders at a time; update and perform data entry of such purchase orders in our sales communication software tool
  • Establish and maintain customer relationships through courteous and efficient servicing of customer requests
  • Interface with customers and warehouse departments, service departments, and manufacturers’ technical support
  • Attend on-going training, seminars, courses, etc. as required for developing and maintaining up-to-date technical skills and product knowledge

Qualifications / Skills / Knowledge

  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a sales supervisory or management role in the Information Technology industry
  • 5+ years of experience with solution-based selling
  • Prior experience selling under NASA SEWP, ESCIII, Air Force NETCENTS, GSA, and other GWAC Federal contracts
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or relevant field
  • In-depth understanding of the sales administration process
  • Hand-on experience with CRM software and Microsoft Excel
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Federal government procurement processes and trends
  • Ability to understand and interpret the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)
  • Excellent writing, communication, and customer service skills
